JUNE 13TH - 17TH 2025
WITCH
An enchanting 5 Day retreat led by Charlotte Church & Tree Carr for 17 souls ready to embody their magic through ritual, nature, and deep witchcraft practices during the Waning Gibbous Moon phase.
Ready to claim your magic?
This immersive retreat is designed to activate the witch within: blending ancient wisdom, elemental magic, and deep self-exploration. Led by singer and spiritual guide Charlotte Church and High Priestess and author Tree Carr, this retreat is an opportunity to rekindle your craft through ritual, herbalism, dream-work, plant-spirit connection, meditation, sound, and sacred art.
The Dreaming, a haven nestled in magical lands of Wales, provides the perfect setting for witches to reconnect with the old ways. Through guided experiences in forest bathing, herbal alchemy, candle magic, dream initiation, and communal rituals, we awaken our power and forge a deeper relationship with nature, self, and spirit.
Each day will be themed around a different aspect of the Witch’s Path, all guided by the five elements of earth, water, air, fire and spirit. We will move from awakening, healing and reclaiming to deepening and manifesting.
We’ll awaken our witch’s voice through sound rituals woven with the rhythms of nature. Chanting at dawn, humming at dusk, invoking with breath and tone, we align our magic with the sun, the land, and the unseen. These are not songs to perform, but spells to cast, prayers to plant, and vibrations to stir the wild world awake.
As Above, So Below
Our retreat will take place during the Waning Gibbous Moon phase from June 13-17 just before the Summer Solstice.
Think of the Waning Gibbous as the "cool down" phase. It is a time to honor what has come to pass, clear what no longer serves, and prepare for deeper release during our five days together.
This is a powerful lunar time for release, gratitude, reflection, and deep inner work. It is the time after the Full Moon when the moonlight begins to decrease, signaling a shift from external manifestations to internal integration and transformation.
The Waning Gibbous moon has its magical uses and is perfect for our retreat together. You can expect:
Sacred Sound & Song: Charlotte Church will lead vocal meditations & sound activations.
Bonfire Storytelling: A night of myths, legends, and witchy lore.
Witch’s Toolkit: Divination, spell casting and a plethora of ritual.
Dream Weaving: Each night will include dream incubation practices and rituals.
This retreat is for seekers ready to embrace their inner Witch, heal the witch wound, deepen their connection to magic, and immerse themselves in ritual & sacred practice.
Whether you are just starting your path or are a seasoned practitioner, this experience will awaken something powerful within you.
We will harness the energy and magical quality of this lunar cycle for:
Gratitude & Harvesting Lessons – This is an ideal time to express gratitude for what has come to fruition during the Full Moon. Give thanks for your manifestations and reflect on what has worked and what still needs adjustment.
Banishing & Releasing Rituals – While the Waning Crescent is traditionally strongest for banishing, the Waning Gibbous sets the stage by gently dismantling energy and helping you start the process of letting go. Good for:
Releasing negative thought patterns
Cutting emotional cords
Clearing stagnant energy in relationships or spaces
Dreamwork & Introspection – As the moonlight dims, the unconscious mind becomes more active. A perfect time for:
Shadow work
Dreamwork
Scrying & divination for self-reflection
Heightened Dream & Psychic Awareness – The decreasing lunar energy supports lucid dreaming, astral travel, and deep meditative states without the intensity of the Full Moon’s overstimulation.
Healing & Restorative Magic – After the intensity of the Full Moon, this phase is perfect for rebalancing and self-care magic. Ideal for:
Deep energy healing
Herbal healing baths
Recharge and integration of lessons learned
Reversing & Unbinding Work – If you need to undo or neutralise something (whether a spell, habit, or emotional tie), the Waning Gibbous Moon supports this process.
Beneficial Waning Gibbous Moon practices that we will incorporate during the retreat:
Journaling & reflecting on recent manifestations
Cleansing your energy
Detoxifying rituals (body, mind, spirit, or home)
Meditation for wisdom & clarity

Charlotte Church is an internationally renowned artist, sound healer, activist, and educator. Over the past three decades, she has moved through the worlds of music, television, theatre, activism, alternative education, and spiritual practice, using her voice as both an instrument of artistic expression and a tool for healing and transformation.
She first gained worldwide recognition as a child prodigy, selling over 10 million albums globally and performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. Over time, she has continually evolved, stepping away from the mainstream music industry to explore sound healing, ritual, and immersive creative experiences. Today, she is the founder of The Dreaming, a retreat space dedicated to music, nature, and deep personal exploration, and she remains a passionate voice in radical education, environmental activism, and collective liberation.
Charlotte’s career began at the age of 12 with her debut album, Voice of an Angel, which topped the UK Classical Chart and became a multi-platinum success worldwide. She followed this with a series of classica crossover albums, cementing her status as one of the most successful classical crossover artists of all time. She performed at major global events and venues, including The Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Vatican for Pope John Paul II, The White House for Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush, and the Olympics.
In the mid-2000s, Charlotte transitioned to pop music, releasing Tissues and Issues, which produced multiple Top 10 singles. Later, she shifted toward experimental and independent music, self-releasing a series of avant-garde EPs that embraced electronic, folk, and progressive influences, marking a move away from mainstream commercial success toward artistic independence.
Over time, Charlotte became increasingly interested in the emotional and spiritual power of sound. She is now a practitioner of sound healing, ritual voice work, and improvisational vocal therapy, using the voice as a means of self-exploration, transformation, and community connection. She believes in the power of the human voice to heal, invoke, and awaken forgotten wisdom. As an eco-activist, she integrates land-based spirituality and sustainability into her daily practice. At her retreat space, The Dreaming, she leads immersive retreats, sound ceremonies, ritual theatre, voice activation workshops, and elemental immersions, all designed to help people reconnect with their wild, untamed selves and with nature.
Charlotte is also PASSIONATE about alternative education. In 2019, she co-founded The Awen Project, an initiative focused on revolutionizing education through creativity, self-direction, and nature-based learning. Inspired by her belief that mainstream schooling is outdated and disconnected from real human needs, The Awen Project is designed to create learning environments that nurture curiosity, personal expression, and emotional intelligence. The project is an experiment in progressive, non-hierarchical education, where children are empowered to co-create their own learning journey, drawing from arts, nature, philosophy, and self-directed exploration. Awen has been operating in the woodland of South Wales for the last 6 years. Charlotte remains deeply committed to education reform, youth empowerment, and the integration of spirituality, creativity, and ecological consciousness into learning environments.
Her career reflects a radical evolution across multiple fields including music, comedy, broadcast, activism and community building, and is now recognized as a practitioner of sound healing and ritual performance. On television, she hosted and produced her own talk show, using satire and wit to challenge power structures. As an activist, she campaigns for social justice, environmental protection, workers’ rights, and systemic change, while also facilitating workshops in sound therapy and vocal healing. Additionally, Charlotte is the founder of The Dreaming, an alternative retreat space for artists, seekers, and healers.
As a High Priestess of the Voice and a Witch of Song, Charlotte facilitates ritual sound healing circles, voice activation journeys, moon and seasonal ceremonies and improvised song circles. She views music as a form of spellwork and an ancient technology of transformation that shifts consciousness, awakens memory, and reconnects humanity to the web of life.
Charlotte’s voice has always had a unique power—capable of opening portals, stirring emotions, and evoking deep remembrance. Today, she uses that power with clear purpose, inviting others to find and reclaim their own voices, reconnect with their natural wildness, and explore their sacred connection to the mystery of existence.

The Location
Nestled in the heart of the Elan Valley, Wales. Our retreat offers a serene and rejuvenating environment, away from busy work life, whatever the weather.
Set within forty seven glorious acres of ancient land, The Dreaming is a rural wonder which offers true serenity and blissful tranquility. Once a 15th century Cistercian monastery, this fabulous property passed through Georgian and Victorian aristrocratic families to the designer Laura Ashley and her family in the 20th century.
Laura Ashley directed her multinational interior design company from Rhydoldog House and then, in 2020, our founder Charlotte Church, with the help of talented collaborators, reimagined, refurbished and reconfigured it.
