Weekdays & Weekends All Year Round
Weekly Signature Retreats
Our Dreaming Signature Retreats
We warmly welcome you to our Dreaming Signature Retreats. These retreats are a gentle call back to true nature, within yourselves and with the magical and ancient lands, forests and waterfalls that surround us.
We hold our signature retreats weekly throughout the year on a Tuesday to Friday, or Friday to Monday. Curated as a nourishing antidote to the complexities and overstimulation of the modern world, our retreats beckon you to digitally detox, and lean in to a healing, most memorable few days.
Through mindful activities, deep connection to the land, and ancient practices, we aim to soothe and restore your nervous system, leaving you enriched by the enchanting landscapes, delicious food, and meaningful connections you’ll experience here.
We believe wellness should be accessible to everyone, so we offer flexible and affordable payment options. Our sliding scale pricing for our 3-night retreats begins at just £540, with the convenience of instalment plans through our booking system, or Paypal. From the day we opened our doors at The Dreaming, we have offered a Pay What You Can scheme, and we’re excited to soon introduce a Pay It Forward initiative, allowing us to extend our offerings to those who are in need of some time to retreat, but face financial challenges.
Whether you seek deep soul discovery, a peaceful nature retreat, or simply a place to rest, we invite you to join at your own pace. Read on to find out what awaits…

Your Retreat Experience
One day at The Dreaming will never be the same as another as we weave a seasonal programme of offerings that change in alignment with the ecosystem that surrounds us in this rural and stunning heart of Mid Wales.
Throughout each day there will be a number of wellbeing offerings, ranging from the very grounded and practical to the deeply soulful and esoteric. You are invited to participate in as many or as few of these offerings as you wish.
Offerings could be yoga or qi-gong, sound healing ceremony, foraging, mythic storytelling, star-gazing, cold water immersion, singing at dawn, den building, sensory portal building, painting, dance, dreamwork, outdoor cinema, herbalism, woodwork, meditation, Qi Gong, silent disco, night time forest bathing, and many more.
As well as the crafted offerings there is always time to explore the land at your own pace. You may wish to take your sheepskin and herbal tea and sit amongst the soft mosses, or spend the afternoon relaxing at one of our natural plunge pools.
You may just wish to grab a book and make a nest in your room, or find yourself at night, out gazing at stars in the 2nd darkest sky in the UK. We want you to feel completely free to explore and engage however you wish.
“I embraced being solitary in nature and felt completely held by the land. I wondered through the forests and sang to the trees, cried, laughed, and came home to myself after what felt like a long time of feeling out of balance.”
- Zaffire, Retreat Guest 2023

ACCOMMODATION
Luxurious rooms with modern amenities awaits you, each designed by award winning designers to provide comfort and tranquility.
Each rooms interior reflect our passion for other cultures. Natural materials and tactile draping create den-like spaces, whilst original floorboards and textured walls give coherence and a cosseting feel to the seven rooms, each with its own distinct name and character.
The essence of connection thrives through our shared rooms. Our distinctive approach assigns beds individually rather than by room, encouraging meaningful interactions with fellow guests.
Embracing shared living is ingrained in The Dreaming’s values, creating an environment where bonds flourish.

The Location
Nestled in the heart of the Elan Valley, Wales. Our retreat offers a serene and rejuvenating environment, away from busy work life, whatever the weather.
Set within forty seven glorious acres of ancient land, The Dreaming is a rural wonder which offers true serenity and blissful tranquility. Once a 15th century Cistercian monastery, this fabulous property passed through Georgian and Victorian aristrocratic families to the designer Laura Ashley and her family in the 20th century.
Laura Ashley directed her multinational interior design company from Rhydoldog House and then, in 2020, our founder Charlotte Church, with the help of talented collaborators, reimagined, refurbished and reconfigured it.
“It gave me everything I needed to be able to slide back into daily life with more hope and a greater feeling of knowing myself.”
Georgina, April 2023
